Consulting and Training Services
The Workplace Covenant
A structured, facilitated workshop designed to bring together two parties (manager-staff, two teams, staff-internal customers) in a non-adversarial process to dialogue, negotiate, and agree on how both parties can work effectively together to increase company efficiency and productivity. The goal is for each party to develop an agreement that outlines how they will behave in relation to the other. These “Covenants” are then used to strengthen alignment, respect, trust, communication and partnership.
“The Several Habits of Highly Effective Teams”
A customized staff development workshop, designed to bring a manager and staff closer together and resolve key issues. This process includes:
- A needs analysis and identification of team-specific issues
- Reviewing skills/practices of successful teams
- Identifying key lessons learned
- Enabling peer-to-peer professional feedback
- Sharing style and personal information
- Guiding team level problem solving, etc.
Development of Mentoring Programs and Processes
Mentor relationships have been shown to improve satisfaction, commitment, and retention of ‘high potentials’, and if implemented effectively, also improve organizational performance. Through coaching of senior management and the designated mentors, the organization can be helped to design, develop, and implement an effective mentoring program. Training for both the mentors and protégés is also provided.
Development of 2-Way Feedback and Communication Strategies
Most organizations do not understand the critical importance of 2-way feedback and communication processes, and so do not have them as established practices. As a consequence, employee feelings and feedback are to a large extent unknown to most managers, and typically go ‘underground’ as water-cooler gossip, restroom griping, passive resistance, employee turnover, ‘attitude issues’, unionization, even sabotage and workplace violence. Through processes as Bridge-Building sessions, Leadership Covenants, 360 degree feedback, Town Hall meetings, focus groups, skip-level interviews, roundtables, etc., organizations can better monitor employee morale and benefit from useful feedback and suggestions. Consulting on how to develop and implement such programs for maximum benefit is provided.
Development of Employee Retention Strategies
Designed to help the organization diagnose and understand the key drivers of turnover and dissatisfaction; identify counter-measures efficiently and effectively; and address priority areas to have measurable positive impact within weeks. Data gathering may include: focus groups, targeted interviews, morale surveys, climate reports, etc., followed by the development of a detailed and practical retention strategy. On-going help to implement the strategy is also provided, as requested.
Consulting on New Mergers
Addressing the cultural and behavioral dimensions of mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, is as important as the financial numbers. The employees are your most important asset. Providium will work with management and the employees to create a more cohesive and unified company. We will facilitate open dialogues discussing strengths, needs, cultures, etc., moving the groups from an “us and them” mentality to one of “together we’re better”.
