Who We Are
Gregory N. Furstner, SPHR, CCP
Vice President of Compensation
& General Manager- Kansas City Office
Greg is Vice President of Compensation and General Manager of Providium’s Kansas City office. He brings to the company more than 15 years of progressive compensation and human resource generalist experience. His expertise in the area of compensation includes strategy, design, and implementation of programs designed to attract, retain, and motivate the workforce and key executives of client companies. He has held management and executive level positions in compensation and human resources at Hallmark Cards Inc., JM Huber Corporation, Primedia, and Cummins Inc.
Prior to joining Providium in March 2007, Greg served as Vice President of Human Resources at Freightquote.com. In addition to his compensation background, he has significant experience and expertise in the areas of international human resource management and employee benefits. Greg has worked internationally in Scotland, Singapore, and Sweden.
Greg holds a BBA degree from George Washington University and a MS degree in Systems Management from The University of Southern California. He is certified by the Society of Human Resource Management as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and by World at Work as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP). He is also certified in the Forte Interpersonal Communication System.
Prior to his career in Human Resource management, Greg served in The United States Army as an officer, helicopter pilot, and veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Outside of work, Greg is an active member of the American Cancer Society Chairman’s Circle and enjoys running marathons.
Kristin M. Sampson,
Director of Global HR Services
Kristin provides expertise in the field of Global Mobility. She brings to Providium Human Resource Group over 20 years of experience in international business and finance. She has extensive knowledge of global compensation and benefits, policies, competitive practices, strategic planning and tax compliance, as well as cost-effective solutions for managing international assignments.
Prior to joining Providium in 2007, Kristin was responsible for developing and managing Bausch & Lomb’s international global mobility and relocation program, and providing hands-on service to senior management, global human resource managers and employees around the world.
Kristin holds a B.A. Degree from Biola University in La Mirada, California. She maintains up to date training in global tax and compliance through Deloitte and PriceWaterhouseCoopers International Assignment tax conferences, and will soon have her Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) through World at Work. As a participating member of professional organizations such as ORC Worldwide Roundtable, National Foreign Trade Council (NFTC) International Assignments Executive Committee, and World at Work she has stayed current on all competitive practices.
Outside of work Kristin is involved in many community, city, and outreach programs. She also volunteers in children’s sports, nursing homes, teen ministries, as well as church and musical presentations.
Ann Wallace,
Director of Organizational Development & Training
As Director of Organizational Development and Training, Ann is focused on delivering education and training solutions for business and organizations. She is responsible for developing, marketing and facilitating training and coaching programs designed to enhance individual performance and contribute to the strategic goals of the company.
Ann brings to Providium more than 20 years experience and a combined background in education, business, training, sales and marketing, coaching and executive-level career development. She has broad industry and diverse clientele experience, nationally and internationally.
Prior to joining Providium, Ann was vice president of Healthcare Education for Indelta Learning Systems where she was responsible for developing and marketing non-clinical training for the healthcare industry. She also has extensive experience with Career Development Services where she was involved with corporate career development, performance improvement coaching, international career issues and client relationship management. In addition, she has several years experience in consumer affairs, public relations and communications.
Ann holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a master’s degree from State University of New York at Brockport. She is a Licensed New York State Counselor. Outside of work, Ann enjoys family, sports and community activities.
Thomas Quinn
Vice President,
Weterrings & Agnew Executive Search Division
Tom is responsible for providing Providium Human Resource Group clients with his expertise in executive search, marketing, sales and sales management recruiting and placement.
Prior to joining Providium in August 2006, Tom was an owner/partner for 25 years with Weterrings & Agnew Inc. He was responsible for senior level recruitment, working with companies of all types and sizes, both locally and nationally. Tom is a graduate of the University of Buffalo. His volunteer experience includes work with the school board of St. Helen’s School and the Home School Association and as program director for the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) sports program.
Tom resides in Greece with his wife, Sandy. He has two grown daughters who live in the Rochester area. In his leisure time, Tom enjoys golf and time with his family and friends.
Dr. Seth Silver,
Strategic Partner, Organization Development
Dr. Silver has consulted to almost 100 for-profit and non-profit organizations, including American Red Cross, Cape Cod Healthcare, Ultralife Batteries, and Xerox Corporation.
His expertise is in the areas of transformational leadership, employee empowerment, “Workplace Covenants,” and culture change. Dr. Silver is also an assistant professor in the Graduate Human Resource Development program at St. John Fisher College. In addition, he is a faculty member with the American Management Association, specializing in the areas of leadership and management.
Dr. Silver holds a Bachelors degree in Social Psychology from the University of Toronto; a Masters degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University; and a Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Human Resource Development from The George Washington University.
Giannina Naylon,
Executive Recruiter and Manager, OfficeCareers Division
Giannina provides direct, contract to hire and contract placement of office and administrative personnel. She recruits in all functional areas including inside and outside sales and sales management. Giannina has 23 years of experience in recruitment and placement in the Greater Rochester Area. She attended SUNY College at Brockport where she majored in communications and Spanish.
A lifelong Rochester resident, Giannina has extensive experience in sales and marketing, management, education and government. She has presented workshops to staffing professionals in placement techniques and to job seekers on resume writing and interviewing styles. Prior to joining Providium in 2006, Giannina was with Weterrings & Agnew, Inc. and its OfficeCareers division for seven years.
Giannina is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Rochester Women’s Network. She enjoys volunteering in the community and has worked for The Make a Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Wilson Commencement Park and the City School District Mentor Program.
Giannina lives in Fairport with her husband, Ted, and has a grown daughter and son. Her favorite leisure activity is spending time with family and friends at her cottage on Keuka Lake.
Charlie Thomaschek,
Manager, Technical Recruiting
Charlie is responsible for recruiting and search activities in the areas of Plant and Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and IT. He specializes in the identification and recruitment of hard-to-find talent for small to mid-sized companies as well as Fortune 500 corporations.
Prior to joining Providium in 2006, Charlie’s background includes 17 years in Technical Recruiting and Executive Search in, but not limited to, Upstate NY, Pennsylvania and the Midwest. His experience in manufacturing includes Supply Chain Management and Industrial Engineering. He also served three years in the United States Army.
Charlie is an active member of the Buffalo Niagara Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He resides in Rochester and enjoys fishing, hiking and spending time with his family.
Joanne Schneider,
SPHR Director of HR Operations
Joanne has more than 20 years of experience in consulting and human resources management. Prior to joining Providium, she was Director of HR Consulting at Beacon Consulting Group and Manager of Human Resources and Administration with Insero & Company.
Joanne’s areas of expertise include Human Resources management, administration, benefits, project engagements and operations. She manages Providium’s HR project services group. Joanne’s project engagements include HR audits, employee climate surveys, compensation studies, investigations, handbooks, job descriptions, mergers and acquisitions, HR training, and, consulting with clients to develop their HR function.
Joanne earned a bachelor’s degree from Marymount Manhattan College and a master’s degree from Hunter Graduate School of the City University of New York. Additionally, she is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society for Human Resource Management. Joanne holds a permanent license in education in New York State and is a certified New York State Department of Insurance testing monitor. Her specialized HR training includes compensation planning and conducting internal investigations. Joanne presents at seminars and writes about human resource issues.
Joanne is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Genesee Valley Chapter SHRM where she specializing in promoting HR professional certification and facilitating the chapter’s certification preparation workshops.
Beverly A. Ludke,
Director of Outsourcing Services
Beverly brings to Providium more than 20 years experience in management and human resources. She has held senior executive positions in health care and human services organizations. Her HR consulting experience includes manufacturing, financial services and marketing communications firms. She has extensive experience working with C-level executives and corporate boards.
Prior to joining Providium, Beverly was Executive Vice President and COO of Catholic Charities of Rochester/Catholic Family Center where she developed and executed the HR strategy for corporate acquisitions. She has also held senior HR and management positions with Unity Health Systems, Newark-Wayne Hospital and Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield.
She has a broad knowledge of benefits and compensation, employee relations and HR best practices. She has created human resources functions from the ground up and is skilled at coaching and training managers in hiring, supervision and performance management.
Beverly holds a master’s degree from the State University of New York at Brockport and received her SPHR (Senior Professional, Human Resources) Certification in 1997. She is an active community and church volunteer, recently serving as chairwoman of the Board of Directors for Mercy Residential Services.
Suzanne M. Teich,
SPHR Senior HR Consultant
Suzanne has more than 15 years of experience in the field of human resources. Her responsibilities have included affirmative action plans, compensation, intranet web design and development, training, employee relations, counseling, policy development and business analysis.
Suzanne spent the first two years of her career at Erdman, Anthony, and Associates, an engineering consulting firm, and then moved to Paychex, Inc. where she spent 10 years in a variety of increasingly complex HR roles. Prior to joining Providium, Suzanne was a consultant specializing in HR project engagements.
As a Senior Consultant at Providium Human Resource Group, Suzanne focuses on Affirmative Action Compliance. She also assists clients in overall HR compliance through project engagements such as HR audits, handbook reviews and specialized projects.
Suzanne received her bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology in 1990 from Clarkson University. She also has an MBA from St. John Fisher College and a Certificate in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. She has been a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 1997. Suzanne has served as Treasurer and Newsletter Chairman for the National Human Resources Association – Rochester Affiliate.
Kara A. Palumbo,
Senior Human Resource Manager
As a Senior Human Resource Manager for Providium Human Resource Group, LLC, Kara specializes in on-site HR assignments in a variety of industries. She has over ten years of HR generalist experience, as well as formal training and education in Human Resources Management.
Kara's areas of expertise include Benefits Management, Employee Relations and Recruiting. She has been an integral part of top level management through accessing and then creating substantial cost savings in the employee benefits and compensation areas. Kara has worked on a variety of special projects including successful implementation of self-directed work teams in a manufacturing company, development of training criteria for employees while linking it to quality measurements and ISO standards, devising and implementing benefit strategies and developing and delivering managerial training. She has worked in a number of manufacturing, technology, health care and service companies such as Alstom Signaling, Element K, and Beacon Consulting Group.
Kara earned a bachelor’s degree from Utica College of Syracuse University and a master’s degree in Career and Human Resources Development from Rochester Institute of Technology. Kara is also a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Beth M. Feldman,
Senior HR Consultant
Beth has more than 13 years of experience as a human resources professional. She has expertise in recruiting, compensation and benefits and in generalist human resource administration. She has served in various corporate realms, including manufacturing, technology and service. She has been employed by Smith Barney, Schlegel Corporation and Element K Corporation, and worked as a consultant in recruiting and on-site HR assignments.
Beth graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Oswego with a bachelor’s degree n political science and a minor in Spanish. Post-graduate studies include NYU’s Continuing Education program in Human Resource Management as well as coursework in the Certified Employee Benefits Program through Cornell University’s Continuing Education program. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Beth resides in Fairport and is active within the community, serving on committees within the school district and her church, as well as volunteering with a community-based hospice care home.
Amy Koenig,
Program Manager
Amy is responsible for assisting in recruitment and search assignments along with management of daily operations of the Weterrings & Agnew Recruitment Division of Providium Human Resource Group.
Prior to joining Providium in a006, Amy was with Weterrings & Agnew, Inc. She spent 10 years previously at Professional Development Group (PDG), a local training and consulting company. There she was responsible for the company’s daily operations and client relations.
Amy graduated from St. John Fisher College, with a bachelor’s degree in business and a concentration in finance. She has been involved with the Board of Penfield Youth Football and Cheerleading.
Amy resides in Penfield with her husband, Dave, and three children. She enjoys sports and time with her family.
